On Friday, November 1st, 2013, Royal Arch Chapter Ithaca No1/16, located in Patras- Greece, led by the First Grand Principal and Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Greece ORPHEE Bro. Stephanos Paipetis, member of the Federation of the International Masonic Order DELPHI, installed the first Royal Arch Chapter in Athens under the name Kolchis No2/18 .
The ceremony was graced with the presence of the Sovereign Grand Commander of the AASR and Grand Master of the International Masonic Order DELPHI Bro. Dimitrios Lyberis and Lieutenant Grand Commander and Grand Master of the Grand Mixed Lodge of Greece Bro. Panagiotis Moutzourakis.
The brothers of the Grand Orient of Greece ORPHEE come from the male Freemasonry and works in Emulation Rite. The First Grand Principal Bro. Paipetis was one of the pioneers who brought to Greece the York Rite 30 years ago; He was also the Founding Grand Master of the National Grand Lodge of Greece (which introduced the Emulation Rite in Greece ) and First Grand Principal (G.H.P) of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.
With the establishment of the Royal Arch Chapter Kolchis No2/18 in Athens brethren and sisters of Mixed Freemasonry operating under the Federation of International Masonic Order DELPHI will be able for the first time to get closer with the Capitular Masonry of the York Rite.
